  • A.K.A. pig bronchus
  • Aberrant bronchus that arises from the right tracheal wall above the carina.
  • Results from an additional tracheal outgrowth early in embryonic life.
  • Incidence ranges between 0.1 and 5%.
  • Occasionally, it causes persistent or recurrent pneumonia.
  • Associated with other bronchopulmonary anomalies, tracheal stenosis, or Down's syndrome.
